Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Your guide from Nature Addicts Safaris will pick you up from Entebbe and welcome you for your safari. You will have a short briefing ahead of your drive to Kibale national park in western Uganda. The journey takes about 5 to 6 hours\’ drive and on the way you will have lunch and enjoy stunning views of the beautiful scenery, landscape, tea plantation among others.

Upon arrival in Kibale national park, you will continue to check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee Forest Guest House.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking, Bigodi Swamp Walk

After an early breakfast you will be driven to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for briefing on the chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing you will be allocated a chimpanzee family to trek and a park guide who is well conversant with trails in the forest.

Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on their location because they like to move from one place to another in search of food and once the chimpanzees have been located, you will spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their life style, behaviors, watch them feed, enjoy the juveniles playing up in the trees, take photos and record videos with a flash less camera. After the one hour encounter with the chimpanzees you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide and return to the lodge for lunch.

Bigodi swamp walk

After lunch you will go for an interesting nature walk in Bigodi swamp on this 6 Days Uganda Primates Safari, where you will be able to view different primate species, birds, mammals, and plant and tree species among others. After the swamp walk, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will enjoy a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. You will have lunch and then continue the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park and you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi Lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

After an early breakfast at your lodge, you will be driven by your guide to the park headquarters for a briefing of the gorilla trek in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. After briefing, you will continue into the forest in groups to look out for the gorillas in their natural habitat.

When you find the gorillas in the forest, you will spend 1 hour with them, enjoy taking photos and observing the gorillas before returning to the briefing point to meet your guide.

You will transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park thereafter, check in at the lodge and relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Mount Gahinga Lodge

Day 5: Golden Monkey Trekking Experience

You will wake up and have early breakfast at your lodge and your guide will drive you to the briefing point. You will be briefed at the park headquarters about the activity and other details about the golden monkeys. The activity will take about 2 to 5 hours in the natural habitat of the golden monkeys as you enjoy hiking through steep and densely forested hills in search of the monkeys which you will be allowed to spend about 1 hour with the golden monkeys. Return to the lodge and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 6: Departure

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you shall check out and proceed on a transfer to Kampala with en-route stops for lunch and rests. You shall be dropped off at the airport, or hotel of stay in Kampala/Entebbe, bringing your 6 Days Uganda Primates Safari to an end.
