3 Days Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest takes you to the Kibale Forest, which is home to about 1,500 chimpanzees and 5–7 other kinds of primates. You get to spend time with chimpanzees, trackers, and Uganda Wildlife Rangers. Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe international airport — Transfer to Kampala City

When you get to Entebbe airport, our company rep and safari driver will be ready for you to take you to Kampala city for the night. After you\’ve checked into your hotel, your driver-guide will talk to you about your tour. Dinner and a night\’s stay will follow.

If you have time, go on a Kampala evening city tour to see places like the Uganda national museum, the Namugongo heroes\’ shrines, the Bahai temple, the Old Kampala mosque, and the Kabaka\’s palace.

Day 2: Kampala city — Transfer Kibale Forest national park — Evening bigodi sanctuary swamp nature walk

Have food very early in the morning, and then leave Kampala for Kibale Forest National Park. This park is home to 13 species of primates, including our closest cousins, the chimpanzees. These species include the blue monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, black-and-white colobus monkey, red-tailed monkey, bush baby, olive baboon, and black-and-white colobus monkey. When you go to Kibale Forest National Park, you\’ll get to see primates in a way you\’ll never forget. When you get to Kibale Forest National Park, check in and have lunch at the lodge you booked, then go for your evening safari. Bigodi wetland sanctuary guided nature walk, this wetland is wonderful place for bird lovers with over 200 species of birds including Hornbills, Turacos, Parrots, Cranes is home base to 8 species of primates, including the Black and White Colobus, Red Colobus, Red Tailed Monkey, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Olive Baboon, L\’hoest Monkey, Vervet Monkey and the Blue Monkey and beautiful sceneries. The walk will also take you through the Batooro and Bakiga villages, which are close to the park. Walk back to your lodge after the nature walk for dinner and a night\’s stay.

Day 3: Morning chimpanzee hiking in Kibale Forest National Park; flight out of Entebbe airport

After a big breakfast in the morning, you\’ll go to the park office to get a pre-trekking briefing on how to behave while tracking chimpanzees. Then, you\’ll go on your guided tracking walk to see our closest relatives in their natural habitats as they make loud calls to their friends, hunt for food, and swing in the branches of huge trees. During chimpanzee tracking, you will see other monkeys like L\’Hoest\’s monkey, Grey-checked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon, and many different bird species like African grey parrots, crowned eagle, red-chested owlet, etc. Your park ranger guide will not only tell you about chimpanzees and other monkeys, but also about other animals you will see. This will make the trip more interesting. When you find chimpanzees, you can spend an hour watching them, taking pictures, and learning how they act. After this once-in-a-lifetime monkey tracking adventure, go back to the information center to eat your packed lunch and drink some water. Then, drive to Entebbe international airport to catch your flight home.
