The Memorial sites and centers are places where people who lost family members in Rwanda\’s genocide in 1994 can remember them in a respectful way. It is also a place where people from all over Rwanda and the world can go to think and learn.

The Volcanoes National Park (Parc National des Volcans in French) is dominated by the setting of volcanoes, which range in height from 2,400m to 4,507m. The place is best known to the rest of the world as the place where American primatologist Dian Fossey studied mountain gorillas for almost 20 years.
