Detailed itinerary of 6 Days Rwanda and Uganda Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Kinigi for Iby’iwacu Cultural Experience & a Guided Nature Walk Around Volcanoes National Park
Our representative will pick you up from Kigali International Airport upon arrival, depending on your arrival you will have a short Kigali City Tour visiting the Kimhurura Market and the Kigali Genocide Museum. Then transfer to Northern Rwanda – Musanze, arrive in time for lunch at your lodge after check-in, in the afternoon we visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Experience (also known as Gorilla Guardians Village) for a cultural experience. Here you will be entertained by local dances and drama, interact with the elders through which you will get a deeper understanding by the local lifestyle, culture and traditions of the Rwandans. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes National Park & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda
Wake up early, have breakfast and head to the park headquarters in Kinigi for briefing about golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park. Head into the forests looking for the beautiful and endangered golden monkeys, you will find these playful creatures in the bamboo vegetation, watch them play from one branch to another and take as many photos as you can.
Then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with border crossing at Cyanika Border. Continue to Bwindi arriving in the evening, have dinner after check-in at your lodge and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Adventure at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head to the Park headquarters with your packed lunch box for briefing about the dos and donts while in the forest. In groups of 8 people you will be assigned a family to trek, head into the forest in search for the gorillas. the trek takes approximately 2 to 4 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night
You are allowed to spend only 1 hour in the presence of the gorillas, watch the gorillas play from one tree to another, groom each other and take as many photos as possible. Trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and return to your lodge, spend the rest of the day at rest or go for a visit to the Batwa Village for a cultural experience.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha Sector to Spot Tree-Climbing Lions
Start your day with a delicious meal, checkout out of your lodge and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, this journey takes us through the stunning landscapes of Western Uganda. Access Queen Elizabeth National Park through Ishasha Sector where you will have a chance to see the rare tree climbing lions lounging on fig trees.
Continue to your lodge for check-in and lunch, in the afternoon you will go for a game drive searching for various animals calling the park home.

Day 5: Kasenyi Plains Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Trip and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
Start your day early and head to the park for an early morning game drive in the famed Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, lookout for various animals including herds of buffaloes, lions, elephants, Uganda Kobs, topis and bushbucks among others. Later return to the lodge for a full breakfast. In the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, host to the largest concentration of hippos. You will also see Nile Crocodiles and various water birds.
After this amazing experience, return to the lodge for lunch and then checkout of the lodge and embark on a journey to Kibale Forest National Park. Arrive in the evening, check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience at Kibale Forest & Return to Kigali
Wake up early and head to Kibale Forest National Park for a chimpanzee trekking experience, you will have a briefing session at the park headquarters. A ranger guide will take you through rules and regulations to follow while in the forest, along the trek you may encounter some of the other different species of monkeys including olive baboons, red-tailed monkeys and colobus monkeys.
When you locate the chimpanzees, you are allowed to spend only one hour in their presence. After one hour of watching the chimps go on with their life in the forest you will head back to the starting point, meet your guide and embark on a journey back to Kigali where you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
